ENT “What kind of reaction do you get from people when they find out you’re sixteen years old and make EDM?”

ROKR “Well, I have some people come up to me saying, "HEY YOU'RE ROKR, YOUR MUSICS AWESOME, I PLAY IT EVERY MORNING BEFORE I COME TO SCHOOL." But, most of the people that hear my music are around the U.S and in different countries, not at my school.”

ENT “When was the first time you knew you wanted to make this kind of music?”

ROKR “The first time was when I heard it, and saw people dance to it. I saw how it made people feel. I also like the fact that you can put your emotion into this music, no matter how you feel.”

ENT “Do you plan on exploring any other types of music in the future?”

ROKR “Good question. I don't know if I’ll stick to dubstep and other EDM, or go back to the other music I used to make, such as rock, hip hop, and reggae. But I will not stop the dubstep. I love it too much.”

ENT “Last time I counted, Wikipedia listed 219 different genre under EDM, what do you think that says about the future of Electronic Dance Music?”

ENT “You put out “8 bit dream” as a free download on the 1st day of the year. What are you going to do for the rest of the year?”

ROKR “For the rest of the year, I will be working on more music and trying to get some shows to perform at. I'm also working with DKING and Reb3l, both from New York, and Spocka Summa from Rhode Island. Everyday I’m working on a song.”

ENT “Do you have any New Years Resolutions?”

ROKR “Yeah, I do. It is to make my dream a reality.”

ENT  “Do you consider yourself a DJ or a Producer, or maybe a little of both, and why?”

ROKR “I consider myself both because I DJ, and I also produce my own music.”

ENT “What do you think sets your music apart from the rest of the music out there?”

ROKR “I don't think many people notice but, most dubstep uses samples in all of it. Which means they didn't really create it. I create everything in my music (minus the remixes I do, of course) from scratch, so I feel that my music is more legit than these other "wanna-be" teenage, or even adult dubstep "producers”. I made the tracks “8 Bit Dream” and “Why you all up on me” from scratch”

ROKR “I think that says that, sooner or later, EDM will take over everything, you might even hear some dubstep country music. Who knows? But it will most definitely take over the music industry, one day.”

ENT “Best case scenario, what will DJ ROKR be doing ten years from now?”

ROKR “I will hopefully be on tour around the world. Making even better dubstep.”
